offering after seeing the jaw-droppingly
beautiful gown that Jennifer Lawrence
wore to the Oscars recently,
i eagerly sat down tonight to view the collection
(a bit behind the time, i know).
i am devastated to report my utter lack of enjoyment.
i loved a few of the pieces but the vast
majority i found unexciting and definitely not to my taste.
in response to my reaction,
tonight i am looking back at the glory days of my favorite label...
the unbelievably detailed and beautiful
vintage pieces, and the most impeccably tailored and
imaginative collections by the genius that is
John Galliano.
whilst i completely understand the fashion houses'
decision to relieve him of his duties after his,
how shall we say... horribly racist rant,
i truly believe there will never be any designer as
fanciful and talented as him. so below is my homage to Dior...
the first couture house to fully capture my
heart.
